I Need You To Hear Me, But I Can't Speak
This short film by writer/director Amani Hagmagid is a proof of concept for a feature film called, "Cardboard Box". The short follows a young Muslim woman who is gathering items from her mother's childhood from her estranged grandmother whose relationship is strained due to her mother converting to Islam from Christianity.

Support the Film
Stories from Muslim creators are still less common in the film industry than we would like. In addition to telling a meaningful story about the complexity of familial relationships across three generations, we want to uplift a film that centers African-American Muslims authentically. If that message resonates with you, we would love your support.
